It's Finally Friday

This week has dragged on pretty bad and I am so ready for the weekend! I had a box of goodies waiting for me at my doorstep when I got home yesturday. I sooooo cannot wait to start playing with it tonight!

I can't believe that there are only a few days are left until March. Man February just flew by! February's Showroom sponsor for Scrapstreet Magazine was Teresa Collins. I had a lot of fun creating with her papers. Here are my creations but make sure to check out what the rest of the team did here. So much lovely eye candy there!

Where does the time go?

In a week from today, my youngest will be one year old. How can this happen? Where did the time go? She has grown so much already and her little personality is starting to emerge. With her party a week away, I am starting the birthday preparations.

In other news, this past weekend was the first weekend where the girls stayed with their dad. Let me tell you, it really felt wierd to come home to a house where there was no laughing or screeching or pitter pattering of tiny feet. So I decided to take a road trip to Norman and Oklahoma City. Yes I got lost but I sure had a lot of fun doing it. Hehe. While in OKC, I met up with an old friend of mine and her family. It was so good to sit and talk. I used to babysit her daughters while I was in high school and college. I could not believe how tall those 2 have gotten! The part that I thought was pretty neat is that even though they are older, their personalities are still the same as when I knew them as little girls. I hope to see my friend and her daughters more often in the future.

I have been crafty as well over the weekend. I finished up a couple of layouts created with Lily Bee papers. I am pretty happy with the end result.

Papers: Lily Bee Design, Studio Calico, Die-cut: Collage Press, Crepe: Jenni Bowlin Studios,
Brads: Pink Paislee.

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Lily Bee Designs, Mist: Maya Road, Rub-on: Lily Bee Design,
Pearls: BasicGrey, Punch: Martha Stewart, Other: buttons.

I have also been busy working with products for Scrapstreet's Showroom sponsor for April. Can you guess who it is?

Let It Shine!

It is a new day and the sun is shining! I have a smile on my face and the world seems less daunting. I made it through Valentine's Day just fine. Thank goodness! I spent it with my girls. We had fun baking and decorating Valentine's Day cupcakes for us. We also shared some with my parents. There is no way I want to eat 2 dozen cupcakes by myself!

I also did a few crafty things this weekend. I was inspired by Ali Edward's Punch Collage and promptly made my own. It now hangs happily in my kitchen.

Pattern Papers: Lily Bee Designs, BasicGrey, Studio Calico, October Afternoon

I love Lily Bee Papers and When I saw that they are having a DT call, I decided that I am going to give it a shot. I will never know if I am able to make the DT unless I try right? Speaking of Lily Bee, have you see their 2 new collections: Hello Sunshine and Lovely? Total swoonage! I can't wait to be able to buy these 2 lines!

Today is President's Day and the girls and I have a fun afternoon planned. I will leave you with a couple of layouts I did over the weekend. Have a great one!

Note To Self

If you have ever gone through a divorce, I am sure that you have had many of the same feelings as I have had. This post is my little pick me up for when I am down...

Live the best life you can possibly live. Don't let him bring you down no matter how much it hurts. No matter how much anger you feel inside. Don't let him win. Remember all the good things in your life. Remember that you have two beautiful girls who love you for who you are. Remember that you have friends who care for you and will support you through all the rough times. Remember that you have a job and an understanding boss. Remember all this when the world looks bleak. It doesn't matter what he does or what he says. All that matters is that I am going to live the best life I can possibly live for myself and my girls. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That my happily ever after is out there. Somewhere.

I am so happy that two of my Scrapstreet sisters made the team! Way to go girls!

In other news, my poor broken pecan tree is looking much better after cutting down some of the branches. I think I like the slimmed down look much better! I will have to see once the leaves come in how it looks. I have big plans for the backyard this year. I am having my father build a swing set for the girls as well as a sandbox and little garden. I plan on spending as much time as possible with them outside this summer. I don't want to be cooped up in the house with two busy kids. I would go insane!

Time for me to catch up on some House episodes and get my scrap on. Hehe.

Oh I almost forgot! I made myself a quick little box to hold my CHA Summer funds! I am so excited to be going to my first CHA ever! I am going to be like a kid in a candy store!

Someone Pinch Me!

I am still in shock! I am one of the 25 finalists in the running for a spot on the design team of My Scrapbook Nook! I was beyond happy when I saw my name on the list! Even if I don't make it to the team, I am still so proud of myself. :) There were 119 people that applied for a spot on the design team so to make it to the 25 finalists is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

If you were wondering which manufacturer is featured in the February issue of the Scrapstreet Magazine, wonder no more! It is Teresa Collins! Check out the beautiful work the Scrapstreet ladies did featuring her products here. Make sure you take some time and read through the whole magazine. There are lots of gorgeous work in there!
This past week has been crazy around here. We had a big ice storm roll through last week. It broke my poor pecan tree to pieces. :(

Since daycare was closed the past few days, I spent some quality playtime with my girls and scrapped during nap times.

The last layout I made for this weeks Red Challenge over at Studio Calcio. Well daycare is open today so it's off to work for me. Unfortunately the vacation had to end at some point. Happy Tuesday everyone!
