March Madness

March is always a bit nutty for me. Both of my girls have their birthdays in March. Then there is St. Patrick's Day and Easter to celebrate. Every year one of the holidays does not get as much attention as the others.

This year I was determined to do it all and for the most part I have. All that is left to celebrate is Easter! Now if only the rain stays away so we can hunt eggs outside instead of in the house. Soooo much more fun outside!

Speaking of birthdays, my oldest daughter has been wanting earrings sooooo bad for years now. Every time she would ask me, I would always iave her the same answer, "Not until you are 8 years old." You see, I wanted the earrings to be her decision, not mine. I wanted it to be a big girl responsibility.

Well, now that she finally is 8, Aryanna and I went to Claire's on her birthday and got her ears pierced. She could not be happier! Here is picture of Aryanna right after she got her ears pierced. I used the New Beginnings collection from Webster's Pages.

Here is a closeup of the little flower I created to add a little interest to my layout.

Stopping By to Say Hi!

Hello everyone! How are things in your neck of the woods? Over here we are in full Spring Break mode. I took a couple days off of work to spend it with the girls. We went to the zoo, dentist, and doctor for their annual checkups. Poor Jaina was due for her 4 year old shots and she screamed like a banshee! Afterwards we went and checked out Cherry Berry because ice cream makes everything all better in my book. :)

On to some scrappy news. My first layout is up at the Fancy Pants Designs blog. I hope you stop by and see what the design team has been up to. Right now we are featuring a little get to know you for the new team. Here is a peak at my layout.

You can see my full layout here.

Happy first day of spring everyone!

Eight Years Ago...

Eight years ago today, I held my very first newborn in my arms. My first daughter. I looked at her with tears falling down and see peered up at me. Oh how my heart melted! Now this same little girl is turning eight today! Oh my word! I love this little girl even more than the first day I saw here. Granted there are those days where she drives me batty, but I love her just the same.

When I asked Aryanna what she would like for her birthday, she said she wanted a guinea pig. She has been wanting one for almost a year now. She finally got her wish! Here is a layout of the first day we brought this little guy home. I used the new Modern Romance collection from Webster's Pages.

I found some old chipboard clouds when I was cleaning my scrap area and new they would look great with some washi tape on them!

It looks like it's time for me to go wake up the birthday girl and sing her Happy Birthday!

My Secret is Out!

I have been keeping a little secret since last week. Thankfully I did not have to keep quiet for very long. It always so hard to not want to share my excitement right away!

My big secret is...

I feel so honored to be a part of this team! When I first started scrapbooking many years ago, Fancy Pants was one of the first papers I scrapped with!

Check out this layout I created with Fancy Pants papers way back in 2007. I have come a long way since then!

Sticking With It!

I rarely keep the new year's resolutions that I make. I always have good intentions but something always happens and they get forgotten.

Not this year. This year will be different! I will keep my new year's resolutions and maybe create some new ones along the way. One of my resolutions was to eat healthier and stick with it. I have done it in the past but then fell off the bandwagon and proceeded to my old habits. This has caused me to gain back some of the weight I worked so hard to lose a just a few years ago. This time I plan on making permanent changes to keep it off!

To document this journey, I created this layout with the new Respect kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.

To help me get in shape, I started using the Physique 57 DVDs. I absolutely LOVE them! They are so much fun and challenging at the same time. I always feel sore about a day after I workout. It's a great feeling!

Have a great weekend everyone!
