Confetti Eggs

Easter has come and gone. I am just now starting to work on layouts from Easter but that is typical for me. I don't normally scrap in chronological order. I scrap the photos that speak to me at the moment. This go around it was this picture. I just LOVE this shot! It captured the joy of the day perfectly!

How do you scrap? Do you scrap the most recent pictures or do you scrap a like I do?

Well it's off to work for me. I would much rather be outside enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having here in Oklahoma instead of stuck in an office all day.

Stitch Fix #1

What is Stitch Fix? It is a clothing service that is put together especially for you by a personal stylish. Here is how it works…

After you fill out a questionnaire about your body type, size, likes and dislikes, you will receive an email within about two weeks and can schedule your first “fix.” There is a $20 styling fee that you pay up front but you can use it towards the purchase of an item in your “fix.”

On or before your scheduled delivery date, you will receive 5 items handpicked just for you which you can try on in the privacy of your home. Keep what you want and send back the rest within 3 days in the enclosed prepaid envelope. If you decide to keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount off of your total cost!

Checking out is easy. You head over to the Stitch Fix website and fill out a quick questionnaire on why you liked or disliked the item that was sent to you. Over time, your “fixes” should improve. If you would like to give Stitch Fix a try, you can use my referral link here.

Ok. Now on to my first experience with Stitch Fix….

My box arrived 2 days before my expected arrival date. It was a nice surprise to find this happy mail sitting at my doorstep when I got home from work. My stylist did a great job sticking to the colors I like. Here is what I received in my box… .

The first thing I tried on was the heart sweater. I fell in love with it right off the bat and it fit me perfectly!

Next I tried the floral shirt. I loved the pattern but, unfortunately, it was too tight on my chest.

I tried the dress and suit jacket on together but both were a tad too snug on me.

Last up was the sheer shirt. I liked the pattern but I was not in love with the gold studded pocket.

Overall, this was a fun experience. I loved that I could take my time trying on the items and matching it with stuff I already own. Plus this girl could use some fashion help! I am not a big fan of shopping for clothes. I usually embark on this adventure maybe twice per year. I prefer to shop for my kids instead. It is just much more fun dressing them than it is me.

Now I just need to wait a few weeks for my next “fix” to arrive.

So what do you think? Is Stitch Fix something you would like?

TGIF!

After a crazy week of storms, tornadoes, and temps ranging from 70s to 30s, I am thankful it's Friday! We have a busy weekend ahead of dance practices and chores but I am happy that things are back to semi normal around here and I am actually happy about that for once.

This past weekend I had fun playing with some Fancy Pants Designs products. I used a mixture of Trendsetter and Park Bench for this layout. I am slowly working on pages of my daughter and her pet guinea pig. We just love listening to his squeaks and watching his wild escapades around his cage.

Do you document your family pets? Do you create layouts or photo albums? Let me know. I'd love to see them!

I hope everyone had a great week and a super weekend ahead!

Fun with Folders

Have you seen the cute little file folders in the new collections by Webster's Pages? Oh how I adore them! I have used them on several layouts already. Of course, I have yet to use them to tuck something into but I just love the texture and feel that it adds to my layouts. Not to mention the fun precut shape.

For this layout, I opened up one of the file folders and used it as an interesting background to ground my pictures. The other file folder I used as a placeholder for my little cluster on the right hand side.

Have you used file folders on your layouts recently? How do you use yours? I would love to see!

Fortune Teller

Do you have one of those Zoltar Fortune Telling Machines in your area? We have one up in one of our out of town malls. I love those things! They always remind me of the movie Big. Although at times, they seem a bit creepy. During one of my excursions, I decided to give it a try and see what my fortune would be. I was shocked at the outcome. Even though these fortunes are just for fun, this one had my favorite lucky numbers AND the fortune was close to what I was dealing with in real life. So I kept the ticket.

A month later, I used it on a layout. The April Fortune kit from Scrapbooking from the Inside Out was a perfect fit!

This kit is packed full of fun papers from Maggie Holmes, Lucky Charms and Trendsetter!

You can get your very own fortune kit here.
