Coming Soon...

In just a little more than a week the February issue of the Magazine will be released. I had the opportunity to play with some fantastic products from our sponsor. I loved it to pieces! Here is a little peek. Can you guess who the manufacturer is?

SC Love

The work week is done and now that it's the weekend you will find me elbow deep in scrap paper. I am frantically working on finishing up some scrappy assignments along with playing with Studio Calico's January kit that came in the mail last week. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet and I just couldn't stay away from it any longer! I have made 2 layouts with it so far. One was a for a potluck challenge at Scrapstreet and the other one was just for fun. And without further ado, here they are...

Ok. Time to dive back into my scrap supplies! Until next time...

A Bit of Window Shopping

Lately I have been feeling a little down in the dumps. Everything I have known in my life will drastically change next week. I hope it's for the better but it is so hard to think happy thoughts when the word "divorce" is in the same sentence. I don't want to let my sorrow drag me down. I made a promise to myself to think of better things to come.

Since I have recently lost 20 pounds, I figured a bit of window shopping is in order! I found a couple of cute shirts with a necklace and a pair of earrings to complete the look from Anthropologie. A store I have never been in but will definately have to visit some day!

Ahhhh...retail therapy does the body good! I can know sign off and read the next novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I can't wait to see what happens next!

On Cloud 9

This came in the mail today and guess who is on page 110?

ME! I am over the moon excited! This is my first paper publication and I have another one with this company coming up in March! I feel so honored to be in the same book as some of my favorite scrap idols! One of my ScrapStreet sisters, Stacey Michaud, is in there as well. I am so happy for her because she made the Pink Paislee Design Team!!! Way to go girl! I know it's a dream come true for you. Some of the ladies at ScrapStreet made layouts or projects featuring Pink Paislee to celebrate. Here is mine...

I have also been working on some product for the ScrapStreet February Showroom. I can't wait to share them! Time for me to get ready for work. Have a great day!

Welcome 2010

The last few months of 2009 were unexpected and life changing so with 2010, I wanted a new blog to go along with the fresh start in my life. I will not look back at the past few months in anger or regret. I will no longer be pessimistic about the outcome of my future. I will embrace it and CHANGE.

Every year Ali Edwards picks a word for the year. My word 2010 is change. I want to change my view on life. I want to take a stand and lose the weight I have been wanting to lose. I want to become a better mother to my girls. I want to be happy again. Truely happy.

Studio Calico had a challenge to create a layout about what the new year holds for you. Here is my take on it...

Happy 2010 everyone!
