Life in Motion

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend I celebrated my birthday. I can't believe I am already 35! Shesh! But to me, age is just a number. You are as young as you feel and in my mind, I am still 27. Hehe. Pretty soon my two girls will have their birthdays as well. Time to start planning and prepping. It's a lot of work, but I love putting their parties together and seeing how their eyes light up on their special day.

Now-a-days, my life is in full motion. Never a dull moment. I dusted off my poor neglected Silhouette SD and decided to play with it. I also had some fun with the new Webster's Pages washi tapes on this layout. I see life in motion as colorful and bright with a touch of gray for the rough days.

Here you can see all the new washi tapes in action.

Happy Monday!

New Scrap Crushes

Two times a year, I feel like a kid in the candy store when it comes to scrapbooking. Winter CHA has just finished and I am loving all the new goodies that have been released! I especially love the new Webster's Pages lines but maybe that's because the knock it out of the ball park every single time! They hav 4 new collections this release. Two new clean and simple lines and two classic Webster's line....

Sweet Notes

Composition and Color

Modern Romance

New Beginnings

Let me tell you, these collections look stunning in person! There are also several other favorites that I fell in love with when I was perusing all the new goodies. Here are my other top favorites...

Crate Paper Maggie Holmes

These two lines from Glitz Designs are pretty cool. Uncharted Waters

Color Me Happy

Dear Lizzy Lucky Charms

Teresa Collins also has a couple of collections that jumped out at me.

He Said She Said

I can't wait until these hit the stores and I can play with them. I better start putting a little stash of money away for these babies! What new collections are you dying to get your hands on?

One Little Word

For the past couple of years, I have chosen a word to live by for the year. This year my word is EXPLORE.

This word is going to be a big step for me. You see, I am a bit of a hermit who doesn't do change very well or venture out much. For the past two years, I have worked on changing that. This year I want to do even more, therefore, this word is the perfect choice for me this year.

In 2013, I want to...

Venture out and explore new places.

Actually take the time to learn how to use my new camera and explore all it can do.

See a movie at the IMAX theater. (and no I have never been to one, lame I know)

Explore new techniques in scrapbooking. It's time to venture out of my comfort zone.

Try my hand at making armor for my costumes this year.

I hope to add to my list as the year goes by. I plan on having many fun adventures this year!

Favorites of 2012

2012 was a great year. I can't believe how fast it flew by but that's ok. I expect 2013 will be even better! Here is look back at some of my favorite layouts from 2012...

I love everything about this layout especially my little Alice in Wonderland!

For this layout, I tried to incorporate "fish scales" to bring out the mermaid costume. My oldest didn't let me take that many pictures of her this past year. Whether she likes it or not, I am changing that this year!!!

Reading is a huge deal in my house and I am glad my little one is joining the ranks of her mommy and big sister.

I love everything Lily Bee and what's even better, pairing it with Webster's Pages!

This year I was able to attend CHA in Chicago. Last time I was in Chicago I missed out on seeing the bean. Not this time! :)

I joined the ranks of costume making and loved it! It was a pain in the rear at times but so worth it!

And with costumes comes DragonCon. This was my first first long road trip and I can't wait to do it again!

Every so often I get lucky and capture an emotion on one of my kids faces. This picture is blurry but is the perfect shot of one of Jaina's hissy fits!

I had a slight obsession with circles this year. They graced the pages of several of my layouts.

I tried my hands on something new and made paper feathers. They were so fun and super easy to make.

Well that is my year in review. Let's see what 2013 will bring!

Happy creating!
